A PRICKLY AFFAIR Hero

When I decided on the hero for my Bouquet of Brides story, “A Prickly Affair”, I wanted him to be someone who Cactus Lil—and the reader—would be attracted to because of the fact it would be obvious he was completely out of his depths in Arizona. Accomplished, dapper, and suave on the streets of New York City, he is lost in the Wild West. And, I wanted him to make a tough decision for the right reason, not because he would benefit from it personally, but because his feelings for the heroine would compel him to demonstrate agape love for perhaps the first time in his life.

To celebrate the release of A Bouquet of Brides collection and my story, “A Prickly Affair,” I’m giving away a free print copy (US only) of the book. To enter, subscribe to my newsletter. I’ll be drawing for the book at the end of January. If you’re already subscribed, follow my blog
